The ultimate old/new home
This beautiful three storey, five bedroomed detached house was built very much in keeping with the local Norfolk style, and its traditional appearance belies its tender age. Reclaimed brick, stone and tiles have been used to create the double-frontage, flint-faced home, nestling under a pantiled roof. To complete its traditional appearance, the pea shingle drive gives a satisfying crunch underfoot! The interior is equally impressive but retains a homely, farmhouse air with flagstones underfoot in the hall and garden room, and white-painted wood clad ceilings in the attic bedrooms. In the more formal rooms, oak flooring is used, and a marble fireplace sets off the drawing room. The workmanship reflects builder's skill, care and sensitivity to the brief, as well as his knowledge of the vernacular architecture of the area and traditional materials.
